CarVal closed on its first clean energy fund in 2021, which invests in clean energy generation and energy-saving assets. The estimated annual carbon offsets from the fund based on CarVal's pro rata share of assets are 97,024 metric tons, equivalent to an average home's electricity use for one year. The fund's investments include commercial and industrial solar and storage projects, residential solar installations, and C-PACE loans worth $68 million, equating to around 65 million kWh.
