Nxtra (by Airtel) is well-positioned to take advantage of India's 11% growth rate in the data center industry, offering the country’s largest network large and edge data centers. The company aims to increase installed capacity by 2X to over 400 MW in the next few years. Nxtra has a comprehensive ESG strategy that focuses on transitioning to lower-carbon energy sources, identifying climate-related risks and opportunities, and curbing water consumption and waste. It uses over 35% of energy from renewable sources; and, in FY2023. improved average Power Usage Efficiency by 20% and mitigated over 109,612 tCO2e GHG emissions. In addition, Nxtra recently became the first data center company in India to install a hydrogen-ready fuel cell-based captive power plant to provide clean energy to data centers.
